Hi, I’m Bekah

Yes, there’s a story
behind the name.

I lost about 30 pounds eating carnivore. I also lost my honey buns. Now I’m putting in the work to grow them through protein and strength training. Amino acid honey buns. The joke became an experiment, and here we are.

The purpose beneath the practical

AAHB exists first to honor Christ and point women toward Him.

Carnivore eating, strength training, honest reflection, and free resources are part of how I’m learning to steward the body and life God has given me. Practical guidance matters here because women deserve useful help. That help flows from a greater hope.

Christ met me while I was still trying to control everything. I’m learning what surrender looks like one ordinary day at a time. I gave my life to Him once, and I’m surrendering every day.

Hi, I’m Bekah

The woman behind
the honey buns.

I spent years trying to make my body look fit. Then in 2026, after getting serious about my relationship with food, changing the way I eat, and losing about 30 pounds, I realized I wanted muscle. I wanted strength. And I wanted to find out what this body, lipedema, hypermobility, scoliosis and all, could actually do.

I still care how I look. Strength, capability, and how I feel get a place on the scoreboard, too.

AAHB is me figuring all of that out while it’s still unfinished. I’m learning to lift, eating carnivore, confronting perfectionism and control, and learning to care for today’s version of me as I pursue change.

My story and faith

I spent my first 30 years in a high-control religious environment. After leaving, I spent years as an atheist and agnostic, then tried to reach God on my own terms.

At the end of 2022, lonely and overwhelmed in a small Texas town, I reluctantly walked into a Southern Baptist church down the road. I was loved. I saw people studying Scripture in context and praying together. I heard the gospel clearly for the first time, felt convicted, and came to Christ.

My walk with Christ is still new, and I am still learning. After spending so much of my life being controlled, I developed a powerful need to control everything myself. God keeps calling me to place it back in His hands. I also participate in Celebrate Recovery for food addiction and control issues, and I expect recovery and surrender to remain lifelong work.

More than anything, I’m learning to pursue real change while loving the woman I am today. My hope is that somewhere in my unfinished story, another woman recognizes herself, sees His grace, and realizes she can begin too.
